Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

Fruumo (operated by BS Commerce) runs this website and everything that comes with it — content, features, tools, products and the services that make up your shopping experience (the "Services"). We build our store on Shopify's platform, which powers the technology behind what you see. This policy sets out how we gather, use and share your personal information whenever you browse, shop, or reach out to us. BS Commerce acts as the data controller for your information. If anything in this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service on data-related matters, this Privacy Policy takes priority.

Take a moment to read through it. Using the Services means you accept that your information is handled in the way described below.

Personal Information We Collect

"Personal information" here means anything that identifies you or could reasonably be traced back to you — it excludes data that's been anonymised or stripped of identifying details. What we collect depends on how you use the Services, where you're based, and what's legally permitted, and can include (along with anything we infer from it):

  • Contact information — your name, billing/shipping addresses, phone number, email.
  • Payment details — card numbers, payment account info, transaction records, chosen payment method, confirmations.
  • Account info — username, password, security answers, saved preferences.
  • Shopping activity — what you browse, add to cart or save, plus items purchased, returned, exchanged or cancelled, and your order history.
  • Correspondence — whatever you tell us directly, like a support request.
  • Technical details — device, browser, network info, IP address, other identifiers.
  • Usage patterns — how you move through and use the Services.

Where We Get Your Information

We may source personal information:

  • Straight from you — account creation, using the Services, contacting us, or any info you volunteer.
  • Automatically — collected from your device while browsing, via cookies and similar tools.
  • Through our service providers — when they gather or handle data for us as part of delivering a feature.
  • Via partners or other outside parties.

How We Use Your Information

How we put your data to use varies by context, but generally includes:

  • Operating and refining the Services. Fulfilling our obligations to you by handling payments and orders, managing exchanges/returns, coordinating delivery, setting up and maintaining accounts, remembering what you like, allowing reviews, personalising your experience with relevant suggestions, and generally making the Services better.
  • Marketing communications. Sending offers by email, text or mail, and showing you ads on our site or elsewhere, sometimes informed by things like past purchases or cart activity.
  • Keeping things secure. Confirming your identity, protecting transactions, and spotting or investigating suspicious, illegal or harmful behaviour. If you set up an account, keep your credentials to yourself.
  • Staying in touch. Offering support, answering questions, and maintaining our relationship with you.
  • Meeting legal duties. Complying with the law, responding to lawful requests (police, regulators, etc.), managing disputes, and upholding our policies.

How We Share Your Information

There are certain circumstances where your personal information might go to outside parties for legitimate reasons tied to this policy:

  • Shopify and other providers working for us — think IT support, payments, analytics, customer service, storage, order fulfilment and shipping.
  • Marketing and business partners assisting with advertising — for example, Shopify helps power personalised ads across other sites and merchants based on your activity. These partners follow their own privacy rules, and depending on your location, you may be able to opt out of this kind of targeted advertising.
  • With your permission or at your request — like arranging shipping or connecting social login/widgets.
  • Companies within our own corporate family.
  • During business changes — mergers, acquisitions, insolvency — or to satisfy legal duties (subpoenas, warrants), uphold our terms, or protect our Services, ourselves, or our users.

Relationship with Shopify

Shopify hosts our Services and handles data about how you use them, so we can keep improving your experience. What you submit may pass through Shopify's systems and reach third parties, potentially in other countries, as part of this. We also rely on some of Shopify's advanced features, which draw on activity data from our store alongside other merchants using Shopify. For those specific features, Shopify is the one responsible for that data processing, including fielding related rights requests. More detail is available in Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy, and — depending on where you're located — through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Third-Party Sites and Links

You might come across links to outside websites through our Services. Once you leave our site, that platform's own privacy and security policies apply — we don't control or take responsibility for them, including how accurate or reliable their content is. Anything you post publicly or semi-publicly, including on social platforms, could be seen and used by others, including us, without limits on that use. A link appearing on our Services isn't an endorsement of where it leads unless we explicitly say so.

Children's Data

Our Services aren't meant for children, and we don't deliberately gather personal data from anyone below the age of majority where they live. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child has shared information with us, reach out using the contact details below and we'll remove it. As things stand, we have no knowledge of selling or sharing (per applicable definitions) data belonging to anyone under 16.

Security and Retention

No system is completely secure, and data sent to us could be exposed while in transit — so it's best to avoid sharing sensitive details over channels that aren't secure. The length of time we hold onto your information depends on things like whether we still need it for your account, to deliver the Services, to satisfy legal requirements, or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you're located, you might have some or all of these rights regarding your personal data. None of these are unconditional — they apply in specific situations, and we can turn down a request where the law allows:

  • Access/Know — see what personal data we have on you.
  • Deletion — have us erase data we hold about you.
  • Correction — fix inaccuracies in your information.
  • Portability — get a copy of your data, and in some cases have us send it elsewhere.
  • Marketing preferences — unsubscribe from promotional emails whenever you like. Account and order-related messages will still come through.

If you live in the UK or the EEA, local law also gives you extra rights, subject to certain limits:

  • Object to or limit how we process your data for specific purposes.
  • Withdraw any consent you've given us — this won't undo processing that already happened while consent was in place.

To use any of these, follow instructions on the Services or get in touch with us directly. We won't penalise you for exercising your rights, though we might ask you to confirm your identity first. You're welcome to appoint someone to act on your behalf, as long as they can prove you've authorised them. We'll get back to you within the legally required timeframe.

Complaints

Got a concern about how we're handling your data? Contact us using the details below. You may also be entitled to challenge our response or file a complaint with your local data protection authority — for the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

International Transfers

Sometimes your personal information moves, gets stored, or is processed in a country other than your own. Where that means leaving the UK or EEA, we use recognised legal safeguards — the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement, for instance — unless the receiving country is already considered to offer adequate protection.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We might revise this policy over time — whether our practices shift or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Any update will be posted here, the "Last updated" date will change, and we'll give notice wherever required.
